This year, we have created a miniature replica of the Deepavali Street-light up arch along Campbell Lane and inside our museum to welcome you to Indian Heritage Centre.
Featuring the oil lamp and the peacock designs, this light installation serves as a warm greeting and becomes the perfect backdrop to an amazing Deepavali #OOTD

This tour provides the perfect introduction to the Little India precinct and the best photo opportunities of the iconic Little India from the top deck.

Join us on this Deepavali edition of the Little India Heritage Trail which also features the Street Corner Heritage Galleries featuring various heritage businesses in the precinct.
Listen to anecdotal stories of first- and second-generation heritage business owners and trace the evolution journey of this vibrant cultural precinct
Mandala Dot Painting Workshop
Date & Time: 15 & 16 Oct |2pm - 3.30pm & 4pm – 5.30pm
In this Mandala Dot Painting workshop, you will have the opportunity to decorate their very own clay oil lamp that will add a touch of brightness and colour to your home to usher in the festival of lights and celebrate Deepavali!
Deepavali Cooking Demonstration with Chef Devagi and Chef Vasunthara
Date & Time: 15 & 16 Oct |10.30am – 12pm
In this cooking demonstration participants will learn how to make festive Deepavali dishes by celebrity chefs - Devagi Sanmugam (Spice Queen) & Vasunthara Ramasamy (Masterchef SG S2). There will be also be food sampling of the dishes at the end of each cooking demonstration.
Interactive Storytelling for Kids
Date & Time: 22 Oct |11.30am, 2pm, 3.30pm
Learn about the traditions and values of Deepavali through this interactive storytelling session combined with musical performances and a fun craft session.
Cultural Craft Activities

Venue: IHC Lobby
The young and the young-at-heart can try their hand at various drop-in activities at the IHC lobby. This includes decorating of oil lamps and creating of Ramayana shadow puppets that narrate the story of Deepavali.
Community Lego Mural
Come together and contribute to this community LEGO mural shaped as a Rangoli design. This community Lego mural is designed in collaboration with LEGO artist Jeffrey Kong.
